The new "cool" tool from Google

Google has recently released its My Location application with support for Wi-Fi. This will enable anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled device to find out their locations using nearby Wi-Fi access points. Google promise that the Wi-Fi-based location will be available in many major cities around the world.
This is yet another reaffirmation to the central role of Wi-Fi in the future handheld devices and in broadband communication.

Wi-Fi gains strength in cities According to the Washington Post

There are numerous, ongoing discussion regarding the past, present and future of metro Wi-Fi. For example, metro Wi-Fi also called Muni-WiFi, has been proclaimed by some dead. However, a recent article by the Washington Post called “WiFi Gains Strength in Cities” claims the exact opposite. Instead of failing, metro Wi-Fi is actually experiencing growth.
